Sara Dippity by Maggie Murphy (REVIEW)

Sara Dippity by Maggie Murphy

Author: Maggie Murphy
Illustrated by: Mary Kate Murphy
Category: Children's Book (Helping kids cope with death)
Suitable for: All ages
My Rating: 5 Stars
Format Read for Review: Kindle
Pages: 29

Description: This is the story of a little girl mourning the loss of her grandmother. She encounters a cardinal in her backyard that brings her out of her slump by helping her to remember the good times she had with her grandma and showing her that she can still be happy.

In Short: This is a truly wonderful and touching story. I think this could be a great book to read to a child that has recently lost a loved one or experienced any other kind of sadness.

Pros: The illustrations in this book are absolutely adorable. I love the way they are colored in as the story is told. In essence showing the change in the girls mood as the light comes back into her life. It’s kind of hard to explain you’ll have to see it for yourself. Very beautiful story.

Cons: I found no faults with this book.

I was sent a free copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review.
